Bevan is an infrastructure professional with extensive executive, commercial and project management experience in delivery of programs and projects. Bevan’s 30 year infrastructure career has spanned government, advisory, contractor and design roles in transport infrastructure, fleet, rail and communications technology. Prior to joining E3 Advisory in 2015, Bevan was the Director and Acting Deputy Director General, Transport Projects in Transport for NSW, leading teams and projects with safe, below budget and ahead of schedule outcomes. Bevan is experienced in leading and managing portfolios of projects, building and developing teams to focus on delivery in complex environments from strategy, definition, development, procurement, construction, commissioning through to handover. Bevan is skilled in developing effective internal and external relationships and influencing and negotiating to deliver project outcomes and resolve commercial issues, claims and disputes. For almost 10 years Bevan was the thought leader in Transport for NSW for delivery strategy, risk allocation and procurement through design and construct, PPP, construct only, early contractor involvement, managing contractor and alliance contracts.
Bevan was accountable for strategy, procurement and commercial outcomes of some of Sydney’s major transport networks and services including Sydney Light Rail, Rail Clearways Program, South West Rail Link, Northern Sydney Freight Corridor Program, Wynyard Walk and Station Upgrade, ferry and light rail fleet supply, Tangara rollingstock Technology Upgrade and Digital Train Radio System.
Prior to his career in government infrastructure delivery, Bevan was an advisor at Evans & Peck, assisting clients deliver infrastructure, defence and technology projects including advising on risk, cost, schedule, project performance, procurement, contracts and dispute resolution.
Bevan’s first 9 years in the infrastructure industry was with construction contractors in project management and project engineering roles.
