Conrad has built global credentials in the planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects, having worked on projects in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, North America and South America.
His project advisory expertise is in the initial stages of project development, including project definition, business case development, project planning and the procurement of major contractors and suppliers. Conrad has worked on projects on both the contractor and client side. He applies this practical knowledge of delivery during the set-up of projects to establish a foundation more likely to achieve the desired outcomes.
Conrad's experience has been focussed on the transport and resource sectors. This has included responsibility for the procurement of contractors and technical advisors for projects in the South West Rail Link, Clearways Program and Transport Access Program, all part of the Sydney rail network.
More recently he has led the development of the business case and concept phase for brownfield rail projects in Sydney's rail network. In the resource sector, he has undertaken a project review of the $10B Roy Hill Iron Ore Project in Western Australia to determine project execution readiness, and led the market sounding and procurement strategy for engaging engineering partners for a global portfolio of coal projects.
Conrad is also an authority on the use of advanced analytical methods to model and improve decision making in the planning of capital expenditure and improvement of existing operations.
