Darren is a leader in land use, transport and infrastructure integration. He has significant experience and a deep understanding of land use and infrastructure planning having worked across public and private practice. He has a strong background in assuring and reviewing complex infrastructure projects and strategies.
Darren has extensive experience in Queensland where he has most recently been driving the integration of infrastructure and land use planning assessment. He has worked on the State Infrastructure Plan in its development and public consultation stages and led the business case review for Cross River Rail and establishment of the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority.
He has deep experience with infrastructure and economic development projects in Queensland and has been a member of numerous program and project boards. He was the program director for a statewide program which further developed 350 infrastructure proposals on behalf of state and local governments across Queensland and multiple infrastructure classes. His experience covers transport, health, water, power and a range of social infrastructure projects.
During his career, Darren has developed a passion for complex problem-solving concerning land use and infrastructure activities and has successfully facilitated numerous development outcomes. He has significant experience in negotiation and managing infrastructure, planning and development projects.
Darren holds qualifications in Regional and Town Planning and Business from the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology respectively. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an accredited Gateway Reviewer.
