Garry has a 30 year involvement with the construction of heavy civil infrastructure in Australia and Hong Kong. His career progressed from construction, engineering and site-based management through to line management roles with major construction companies.
In recent years, Garry's experience progressed as a Principal and Operations Manager for Evans & Peck, Brisbane. This included working on the $9B Western Corridor Recycled Water scheme, the Traveston and Wyaralong Dam programme, phase 1 of QGC/BGs' upstream CSG project and expansion project at Gladstone Port.
Garry's expertise comprised contract development, project procurement and transaction, management of difficult commercial and construction issues and commercial advisory work.
Garry worked in the team to establish the Queensland Reconstruction Authority in response to the state wide flood disaster of early 2011. The development of the Authority's value for money framework is recognised as best practise for funding State Agencies and Local Government Councils.
Garry also provided Expert Evidence on construction and insurance claims for legal and commercial clients.
