Matt is a Chartered Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in planning and managing civil infrastructure projects in Australia, Canada, New Guinea and New Zealand. He has worked on a range of projects for both government authorities and large contractors of varying complexity across all stages of the project lifecycle.
During his career Matt has held project management roles with large contractors delivering projects across rail, road, marine, power transmission and water infrastructure sectors. He has a solid grounding of project management through robust and detailed planning, procurement and delivery.
Matt has extensive experience in cost estimation and cost planning of infrastructure projects under Dual ECI, PPP, Alliancing and Construct only environments. He has a proven track record of successfully leading bid teams to produce robust cost estimates (both CAPEX and OPEX) for projects in highly complex environments. Drawing on this experience Matt has fulfilled numerous roles as Independent Estimator for a number of Clients managing large asset portfolios. Both his practical experience in managing works on-site coupled with extensive cost estimation experience ensures rigorous interrogation of estimates and the ability to advise on genuine value for money outcomes to Clients.
With a comprehensive understanding of construction planning, cost forecasting and management of construction works, he brings to any project the experience of understanding the Client’s objectives and ensuring each project is delivered cost with a cost-effective approach.
Matt has completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), and Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Finance, Certificate IV Project Management, and is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CP.Eng).
